Mono Test (Epstein Barr Heterophile Ag IgM)

The Mono Test, also known as the heterophile antibody test, is used to detect antibodies produced in response to the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), which is the primary cause of infectious mononucleosis. The presence of IgM antibodies indicates a recent infection or active disease.
