HNK1 (CD57) Profile

The HNK1 (CD57) Profile test measures the expression of CD57, a cell surface marker found on a subset of natural killer (NK) cells and T cells. The presence of CD57 is often associated with chronic immune activation and can provide insights into various immune system conditions. This test is particularly useful for evaluating patients with chronic infections (such as Lyme disease), unexplained fatigue, or other conditions where immune system dysfunction is suspected.
