HCG (Testicular Tumor)

The HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) test for testicular tumors measures the levels of HCG in the blood. This hormone is normally produced during pregnancy but can also be elevated in certain types of testicular cancer, particularly non-seminomatous germ cell tumors. Elevated HCG levels in men can be indicative of testicular tumors, making this test a useful tool in the diagnosis and monitoring of such conditions. In addition to diagnosing testicular cancer, the HCG test can also be used to assess treatment effectiveness and monitor for recurrence after treatment.
