The Hazelnut IgE test measures the presence of immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies specific to hazelnuts. This test is primarily used to diagnose hazelnut allergies, a type of food allergy that can cause various allergic reactions, ranging from mild symptoms like hives and itching to severe anaphylactic responses.
