CA 125

CA 125 is a blood test that measures the levels of the cancer antigen 125 protein, which is often elevated in individuals with ovarian cancer. While primarily used to monitor treatment response or detect recurrence in patients with diagnosed ovarian cancer, it can also be elevated in other conditions, such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and certain types of cancers. This test helps in evaluating symptoms related to pelvic masses and tracking disease progression.
