The AFP (Alpha-fetoprotein) test measures the level of AFP in your blood, a protein that may indicate liver disease, liver cancer, or other types of cancers. It’s commonly used to monitor treatment in people with certain cancers or to detect liver conditions early. Elevated AFP levels can signal abnormal cell growth or liver function issues.
