Ferritin

Ferritin is a blood test that measures the amount of ferritin, a protein that stores iron in the body. It reflects the body’s iron reserves and helps in diagnosing iron deficiency or iron overload conditions. Low ferritin levels often indicate iron deficiency anemia, while high levels may suggest conditions like hemochromatosis, chronic inflammation, or liver disease.
