Deamidated Gliadin Peptide IgG

Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) IgG is a blood test used to detect IgG antibodies to deamidated gliadin peptides, which are modified gluten proteins. This test is commonly used to help diagnose celiac disease, especially in individuals who may have IgA deficiency, where the IgA antibody test may not be reliable. A positive DGP IgG result suggests an immune response to gluten, which is often linked to celiac disease. This test is useful in cases where other markers for celiac disease, such as tissue transglutaminase (tTG) or DGP IgA, are negative or inconclusive.
