QuantiFERON®-TB Gold Plus

QuantiFERON®-TB Gold Plus is a blood test used to diagnose tuberculosis (TB) infection. It detects the immune response to specific TB antigens, providing a more accurate assessment than traditional skin tests (like the Mantoux test). This test is particularly useful for people who have had the BCG vaccine, as it does not cross-react with the vaccine and helps distinguish between latent TB infection and active TB disease.
